2 Months & 20 Months

Look at this sweet little boy! I'm over a week late, but better late than never. Logan turned 2 months old on the 23rd of October. I can't believe how big he is getting. I want him to slow down! He is still such a sweet and low maintenance baby.
Logan has his 2 month check-up this week. We will find out how much he weighs then. He also has to get shots. I'm dreading it big time!
Logan:
*wears a size 2 diaper
*usually wakes once (sometimes twice) to eat during night
*only cries if he is wet, hungry, or wants to be held
*smiles when you talk to him
*has started cooing
*likes to be rocked or held up on your shoulder so he can see
*is loved dearly by his big sister and gets multiple kisses from her daily
*has a special place in his momma's heart
This little firecracker turned 20 months old on the 19th of October. She will soon be the second momma of this household. Watch out, Logan!
Madison:
*just bumped up to a size 4 diaper
*eats three meals a day (but not much of an eater) plus a few snacks
*loves to be put to bed by her daddy- they have a nightly bedtime play routine!
*loves sweets
*loves her "Bubba"
*is learning new words constantly and has quite the vocabulary
*can say "love you" and we love it!
*throws great fits!
*is still a sweet baby girl despite her strong willed spirit

Happy 2 month and 20 month Birthday to Logan and Madison!

Halloween 2010

MEOW!!! Is this little girl cute, or WHAT?!!
We spent the day at Woolly Hollow State Park, outside of Greenbrier for my dad's 50th birthday celebration. My parents go camping several times a year with several families from their Sunday School class. (And when I say several, I mean numerous families...up to 100 people!) We had about 35-40 come to Dad's birthday lunch today. It turned out great. Good food, fellowship, and fun! After the party, we dressed up the kids in their Halloween costumes and let them trick-or-treat around the campsite to our friends' campers.
Madison LOVED getting candy and the ladies enjoyed giving it to her!
Couldn't you just eat them up with a spoon?
"the lion sleeps tonight..."
enjoying candy...
I'll post pics from Dad's 50th celebration tomorrow. Madison had a great time today in the outdoors. She wasn't whiney at all and even missed her naps. She is spending the night with Grandma and Grandpa tonight in their camper and will come home tomorrow. I hated that we had to miss Fall Fest at church, but a 50th birthday only happens once!
Happy 50th Dad! You age well!

Logan's Baby Dedication & Woo Pig

My sweet baby boy
Catching a few zzz's before the ceremony
Yes, I even have fun dressing up my little man. I dressed Logan in a light blue pintuck romper. He looked quite handsome!
Madison didn't know what to do with herself in "big church." This was her first time to be in the sanctuary as a "big girl." She enjoyed seeing her grandparents. The best family pic we could get
Check out the look on this little girl's face! Was she thrilled to be there or what?!
Madison was ready to get down. A fit was a brewin'.
Finally, SHE WON and off to Grammy she went! Notice who I was holding... the sweet innocent one! I've been embarrased enough in public by that sweet little zebra. It was Daddy's turn today. :)
"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22: 6

Saturday Gabe and I had a date day to the Hog game. I hated that it rained during the game, but it wasn't too bad. We ate at our usual place...Mama Z's. Did a little shopping at the mall and then headed home. I treasure these date days with Gabe these days. They are definately rare!

A Housewife's Best Friend!

My friend, Melissa, recently blogged about these Mr. Clean Magic Erasers. She said they were miraculous when it came to cleaning showers. She said they cleaned up soap scum without ferocious scrubbing. Well, I've always wondered what the secret is to cleaning showers. The soap scum never seems to come off unless you scrub until your arm about falls off. So...I end up giving up!

Well, I was curious so I bought several of these magic erasers. Let me just tell you. They work! Like magic! You basically just wipe in circles and you can feel the scum melt away. The roughness just disappears. Ah-ma-zing!

You need to try it...TODAY!

Celebrating 28 Years!

I turned the big "28" this past Friday. I have to say...27 still felt pretty young...28 feels a little old. I'm just getting way too close to being 30, and I just don't want to be that close! Ha! My grandparents are probably thinking...30 is old??? Come on!
Logan and I went to lunch at McAlister's Deli with my friend Megon and her little boy, Bennett to celebrate my birthday last Friday. I was super late and was a terrible friend. Thankfully, she forgave me. I think.
Bennett was such a good boy. Madison did not get to come because she is not always a "good girl" in resturaunts. She got to go play at Poppa's house instead.
Megon gave me this cute sweater.

Gabe took my to Mike's Place on Saturday night to celebrate my birthday since he covers football games for Pottsville every Friday night. Mike's Place was delicious as always! We did a little shopping and then headed home to pick up the kids.

Happy Birthday & Under the Weather

Happy Birthday Poppa!
Love, Madison & Logan
I'm a little under the weather today. Last night I woke up with body aches and have had them all day today. If there's one thing that is terrible, it's being sick while having to take care of little ones. I napped this morning while Madison and Logan napped and think I'll nap again. I just don't have any energy. Hopefully this will go away soon. Tomorrow we have MDO (my cleaning day) and my 28th birthday is this Friday!

Frog Belly

Hey ya'll!
6 1/2 weeks old
Madison giving "Bubba" some sugar.

The cleaning and scrubbing can wait till tomorrow.
But children grow up as I've learned to my sorrow.
So quiet down cobwebs, dust go to sleep!
I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep.
I read this little poem on another mom's blog last night. It really hit me hard. This poem is so true, but so hard to do. I feel like mothers have a lot of resposibilities on their hands. Yes, we want to love our children, but there are things around the house that have got to get done. I'm sure the key is balance, but this is a hard one! I do hope to try to hold my baby more. He is growing up so fast and I want to treasure this time with him!

Pumpkin Patch 2010

This morning, I headed to Greenbrier with Madison, Logan, and several other moms and their kids from our MOMs group at church.
I put Logan in my Baby Bjorn carrier on my chest and let Madison walk the field! She had fun touching a few pumpkins.
Madison and Beckett hung out together at the pumpkin patch. Bennett better watch out!
Madison enjoyed looking at all of the farm animals. Mr. Turkey was a bit scary.
The baby chicks sure were cute. I couldn't get her to touch them.
"What does the cow say? Moo! Moo!"
Ducks! Some of her favorites!
Fascinated by the bunnies.
Beckett and Madison loved this little bridge...(over grass.) They kept coming here instead of to the big mound of pumpkins where we wanted to take pics.
Me and the kids
Little LuLu
Little Buddies
Collecting goods
Getting a little hot and tired. Ready for the hayride!
Mmm...crunchy corn!
My little punkin!
All of the kids with our MOMs group.
On the hayride...

We had a great time. We ate at Chick-fil-A afterwards and then did a little shopping. Madison fell asleep on our way to Chick-fil-A. I hated to wake her. She slept all the way home. That girl was plum worn out and so was her momma! Logan slept all day...he never missed a beat!
